About Us
We began renting homes over 15 years ago and experience has shown that providing affordable, safe, clean and well-maintained homes results in happy tenants. Initially many tenants rented for short periods however this has now changed.
Nearly 20% of households are now living in the rented sector and many plan to rent for longer periods than before, giving time to save for deposits to purchase a house in the future.
The type of homes renters require has also changed, for example high speed internet connections and space for working from home are necessities.
Moovilla is now acquiring various types of properties to renovate and add to the Platinum Key Collection, addressing these new requirements.
One thing is certain, the private rented sector will continue to change, and our plan is to stay at the forefront, creating the change whenever possible.
Creating Communities
Town centres have changed, shops are becoming cafés, bars, and restaurants. Offices are becoming disused as businesses move to more home working.
People demand a vibrant town centre where recreation is paramount and access to good transport links are vital. People and institutions are rightly conscious of the environment, town planning encourages development that allows people to live, and access all they require within a fifteen-minute walk from home, removing the requirement for cars.
Moovilla support these changes and develop properties in the heart of the town centre, re-purposing old office buildings, pubs, and redundant buildings, breathing life back into the town.
Working for the Environment
Re-purposing old buildings is good for the environment.
Recent figures show that there are over 200,000 empty homes in England and many developers give preference to building more new buildings, compared to refurbishing a traditional Victorian terrace, a new building of the same size produces up to thirteen times more embodied carbon.
Moovilla don’t build new homes, our strategy is to develop existing buildings and refurbish them to the equivalent standards of new buildings.
